About Motive Products

Founded in 1998 by Matt Newman, Motive was born when Matt was in the middle of a clutch job on his BMW. He came to the realization that there really wasn't an affordable good tool out there that would allow him to bleed the system himself. He saw the need for the do-it-yourselfer's out there and was determined to make a design for a product that was high quality, affordable, and easy to use. For over 18 years, Motive's power bleeder has now been used by DIYer's, enthusiasts, shops, and even race teams! Today Motive has new owners. Matt sold the business in 2008 to a couple of enthusiasts, Eric Leicher, and Marc Romani, which relocated the business from Oakland CA, to Gilroy, CA. The new owners are just as enthusiastic as Matt was and continuously look to create new products for the community.

Mess Free.
These do the job nicely. They made the brake fluid flush simpler and without any mess.

Work Well, could be improved
They do the job, and having two made it so I didn't have to dump until I got to bleeding the clutch. I would like if there was fatter nipple on the vent. You can use it to reverse fluid out the line into a receptacle, but it is tantalizing to try to use it to park the line there to keep it clean between corners of the car. Instead, the size that it is, with DOT 4 makes it slip right off. Looking at what these are, I feel like they should be $10.99, not $26 (7/2025).

works as expected
works as expected for servicing brake system, caught the old fluid well and the clear tube shows when clean fluid begins to flow

catch that old brake fluid!
This complements the Motive Power Bleeder nicely. These do just what it says on the tin: catch that old brake fluid coming out of the brake calipers.

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by RODOLFO
I bought the power bleeder and catch bottle kit from you, my question is in the video the catch bottle has a valve in the hose,y need to buy that valve?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
I see that, it appears these are no longer include or may have been added in our shop as an extension at one time or something similar, either way, these are not necessary and the kit works out of the box without them.
Question Posted by Wesley
Does this kit come with the magnet to hold it on the rotor?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No.
