Solid tool, but did not work on my rust belt wheel bearings
This is an absolutely solid unit! It pulled out my wheel hub with ease, but however unfortunately it was not able to pull out my bearing on my rust belt Touareg. Maybe it would have eventually budged but I didn't want to smoke my Milwaukee Impact. I was hoping to do the job with the knuckle in the car, but it ended up being much easier to get this on my 20 ton press which got the bearing out with ease. Still giving it 5 stars because I believe it would have been able to get the bearing out if I was not in the rust belt, and the tool seems very well built.

Professional Quality Bearing tool
This tool makes an ugly job significantly easier. I’ve had this tool for about 20 years, I originally thought it was overpriced for something so simple looking. Looking back, this tool has saved me many times more $ than I paid for it. I’ve changed bearings in dozens of cars and it quickly and easily removed the bad bearings in every case except for one: where the bearing race welded itself to the knuckle. I can’t say enough good things about this tool, it is expensive but worth every penny. This will pay for itself the first time you use it! Another bonus of using this tool is in many cases, you don’t need to remove the suspension arm or steering components, eliminating the need for an alignment after the repair. This is built with high quality steel, machining and a durable bearing. As mentioned in another review, keep it oiled and store it away from moisture, or it will rust.

Heavy!
This tool packed in the case is HEAVY! Pay attention when transporting or carrying it. Upon receiving this tool, I used it on a spare knuckle I had in the basement. Works great! Put some high quality wheel bearing grease on the thrust washer and it should last a long time. Keep away from humidity, it will rust. I give it a just whiff of oil from a rag rubbed onto each piece and it will last a long time. Thanks FCP.

Expensive and no support for usage
This is a nice kit and can do most of the job but you may still need a gear puller to remove the hub first, then you have to basically make your own configuration with zero hints on videos or instruction manuals. It was still a better option than taking it to the mechanic and paying them $500 plus for it so it is a keeper. It didn't have exactly the right size pieces and I had to use the old bearing to press the new one in. Maybe I didn't figure out the right configuration but again, no pics or helpful notes. CTA needs a video on how to use it.

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by Peter
Does this tool allow removal and Installation of the front wheel bearing on my 2012 Volvo XC70 T6?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Although we have not tested it with this application, it most likely does have an adapter that will work. We recommend just removing the knuckles and having a local shop press them in for you, it will save you a lot of time and trouble, and will be relatively inexpensive.
Question Posted by THOMAS
Is it necessary to remove the entire hub assembly from my 1999 Porsche 996 rear, or can I remove and replace the bearing while it is still on the vehicle?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
The wheel carrier can most likely stay installed in the vehicle, but the wheel hub will be removed along with the bearing and reinstalled with the new bearing.
Question Posted by Willie
Will this kit fit my 2001 325Ci coupe with VIN JW58347?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
For rear wheel bearings and hub removal it will work. For the front wheel hub assembly removal a three jaw puller and bearing separator are required and for installation p/n 83300491905 is required.
